Could we use little windows in the corner for those instead of the ping alerts, please? It always gets my hopes up and then crushes them. :<

I agree with Moody on the suggestion of little windows in the corner for sitewide announcements. It’s frustrating to get pings, only to find out it’s just a site wide thing.

Thank you for posting this suggestion. Not to long ago we did have a poll on what the community wanted to be alerted about. We apologize if we have sent out too many at remember tags today, we had a few things that we wanted to announce today so that the community had plenty of time to digest. Normally we put out most of our announcements at one time as well as reminders.

However, should it arise that the community as a whole wishes to receive notifications in a different way, be it a window like in your suggestion or perhaps a scrolling bar that runs across the top, we can definitely look into what we and Xenforo can do.

Thanks. I'm not against the occasional sitewide ping, but all grouped together was a bit much, and left some grumpy feels.

I'll make sure we are more conscientious as to how many times we actually are pinging members on things. ^^ We do have the add on that allows the little pop up notifications like you say, but it got voted off the island as being too annoying. We might bring them back, as I think members can turn those notifications off via preferences if it's a popular thing.
