The forest was dense as he walked through it, chasing after the trail of angels, who may or may not have held what he was looking for, but he'd have to catch up to them first. What was he looking for? Shadow-Fire Dragon scales, that belonged to his brood, slaughtered while he was away from the mountain. That story, was for another time. The next question was -What was he? Well right now, he resembled a man.

What he was, was a Shadow-Fire Dragon, who had long sense learned to blend in, to accomplish what his goals were. Goals? Finding ever scale taken from his clan of dragons, ripped from their corpses, including his parents and brother. This is what drove him, for the last several centuries, Nearly Two Millennium search, and he now had 13 scales, and knew there were more. He didn't know how many, but he knew there had to easily be 17 more missing, just from what he could remember missing off the corpses.

In human form, he wasn't much to look at, Only five foot eight inches tall, Black hair, Devilish pit black eyes, that held barely any white, the border around the pupil and iris. He sighed as he continued to walk, following the trail of boots, at least three sets, if not more, the tracks were days old, and tracked all over each other, He was to find where they lead. and put an end to them, if they held a scale. He was hunting them down, one by one.

What were they? Angels. Angels killed his dragon family, and Angels would pay. This was what was playing through his head, when he noticed the trees getting thinner, which meant either a field, or civilization soon. A town would change the game completely, if the scales were finally going to be unloaded to someone else. Why scales? They were extremely costly, valuable, and in his race's case, extremely rare.

In two thousand years, he had let to see another Shadow-Fire dragon. He was certain he was the last of his race, and that alone, put him in more danger than most. It made his scales rare, and his life unimportant to most everyone else if they could get their hands on him.

He continued onward, vaguely aware of the town showing up ahead, He wasn't sure if this was good, or bad, But he walked on anyways. thinking of where they would go? A tavern? A shop? Where...?

He made his way along the field's path, till he found the town right in front of him, It wasn't that big, but it was marvelous to look at. Stone, and wood mixed in, as if trying to evolve without starting over, much like people do. He could tell from the looks of the way the stones were melded together, it was a mostly elvish town, but he was sure there were other creatures here. He could feel them. demons, Angles, and shifters. Even a dragon or two. interesting.

He passed the Tavern, and decided to find a shop, looking for anything that might resemble an angel, or more importantly, the dragon scales, that he had a necklace of pure gold to trade for at the moment. He needed to collect them all, so he could take them back, and bury them, with the corpses they came from, give them a proper burial. that was the plan anyways.

Shops. Armor, Weapons, more weapons, Mystic potions, clothing, clothing, food, drinks, Trea-Bingo. He opened the door, and looked around, no one to be seen. which meant being busy He moved to the counter, and tapped it twice. Waiting for someone to come up and talk to him.

The man was less of a man, and more of a Draconian book keeper, and he carried out scales, two of them, on a plaque as he walked out, setting them in the display case, while looking up, " Can i help you, sir?"

"Those belong to me. And i wish to purchase them back, without further delay, The angels that sold them to you, stole them." Drake answered simply, as he pulled out the rather large necklace of gold and different jewels he laid it on the counter.

" I believe this should do for payment, Draconian. Surely you can understand a Dragon wanting what belongs to him?" He said as he set his arm on the table, and claws began to come out, and and scales that matched what he was showing began to appear. " I don't want to get hostile to get what's mine." He added at the last second. Before his arm started fading back to where it should be. The sword on his back shifting lightly as he turned sideways. " Do we have a deal?"

With that question, a dragon's tone was in his throat. And the Draconian took a step back, Pulling the plaque out. "You realize you're ripping me off, yes?" He asked, as if it was all business."

"You realize that you've accepted stolen merchandise, and i'm simply paying for what was already mine? I don't really care how you feel about it. So either give them to me, and take the necklace as payment, or i take them, and you get nothing." He said with a small smile, and tilted his head, as he took the the scales off the plague, and slipped them into the brown sack on his waist. That made fifteen scales. He nodded, " Are you keeping it?"

"Do you think me a fool? Of course i'm taking it as payment! you're ripping me off, those scales are worth several times what this is. there are no more..." he was cut off

" I'm the last damn dragon that holds these scales. These belong to MY PEOPLE. and i'm getting them all back. Don't you forget it, if you find more, i'll be back for them too, and i won't be so nice about taking them. Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta go find the seller, and give them a piece of my mind. Drake turned and stormed out, wondering where the Angels went... And that's when he remembered the dragons he felt. "Fuck. more scales to protect."

It was a terrifying thing. Living in a world where you were hunted. Angels, demons, werewolves vampires, everything wanted your head on a platter because of what you were. Her caravan had been traveling, looking for safe spots when it was attacked by Dragon hunters. Her adoptive parents slaughtered in front of her. When they turned to her one of the men in the group stopped them. His name was Sam, an angel who carried with him scales of her people. Naomi found herself a prisoner to them. She had never been taught to fight and she was young. Sam saw something worth while in keeping her alive. a continuous supply of Ice dragon scales along with the possibility of selling her to the highest bidder. That was when he ran into the problem of getting her to change.

Naomi refused to show her scales, to show the world what she was and that made Same furious. She found the end of a sword piercing through her gut. That was when she changed. Blue flames took many lives and she flew way. Now her face known, her scent taken in by many she ran. Her feet taking her far away, learning to hide. Her once long blonde locks were changed into a glorious black, a cloak and half mask always worn. She was terrified. She had no one to trust so she constantly moved. For near a century she moved along, keeping herself from creatures but always with a fear of being caught.

Alone now sitting at a bar she was eating her meal, keeping her head down when she heard them. The bells on those bags had such a specific tone. Her eyes widened but she kept her head down as two angels came up next to her. Speaking to the shop keeper and laying scales out on the table. They spoke of prices and Naomi couldn't help but glance at them. Dragon scales. Her heart sank and she got up to move away when one of the Angel's called to her. "You want some scales?" She waved her hand in refusal, and that was when she felt a grip on her wrist. She spun around her blue eyes locking with the Angel who held her Azriel. "Naomi." His voice had a quiver of excitement as he recognized the young Dragoness. "Sam will be excited to hear what I found." His smug voice echoed across the bar. However Naomi wasn't about to go back. She picked up a chair flipping it to slam across the angel's head. The crashing sound was all that was left as Naomi took off out the doors. Both Angel's quick to
    pursue the Ice Dragon.

Fearful, and alone, Naomi ran only to find the angel's caught up easily. Swords drawn on her as she now breathed heavily. "Come back quietly, and we wont hurt you Naomi." The young woman had a panic in her eyes as they looked for an escape. Her only way would be through them. Them and their pointed swords. She flinched at the idea of getting hurt but she refused to go back.

Charging the angel's she found herself with metal piercing through her soft human skin, but under no circumstances would she change for these men. She felt her claws rise to her hand and she managed to rip one angel's throat out, leaving him to fall to the ground. Azriel only narrowed his eyes as her hand reached for him but he jumped back. Raising his sword to bring down on her. She dodged and tackled the angel. Scaled hand finding its way into his chest and pulling out his heart. As it beat in her palm, Naomi had a panicked look before she crushed it. Glancing down to the small satchel she grabbed it and then stood.

Shaky feet led her away from the scene. Arms wrapped around the satchel as she clung to it for dear life. She knew what was in it. As she made her way to a cave. Bleeding, breathing roughly. She was severely injured, multiple wounds scattered across her small body. She collapsed to the ground curling up against the wall. Her body seemingly icing over the wounds. Though it would stop the bleeding she would die if she didn't find a healer. She kept the satchel in her arms as her world became fuzzy.

She woke with a start to a sound of someone approaching. Fear crawled within her as she feared it was yet another hunter. She hadn't been able to rest once since her Caravan was destroyed. Her fear caused her eyes to glow slightly and for the cave to ice over. It was her only defense with how weak she was.

Drake wasn't sure where to go, but he followed his nose, Dragons, three of them, were in the general vicinity, and one in particular, was staring dead at him. There was nothing special about the little man that he saw, aside from it was possibly an earth dragon, and much older than he was, which meant the transformation was much bigger. He sighed, no angels. Next... Next was in the tavern. Down the road and to the left. He walked slowly, uncertain as to if it would be startled to see another dragon or not. When he reached the door, a woman came running out, and nearly ran him over running.

He took a big smell in. The dragon... Behind her Three angels came running out, and Drake grabbed one without a though, didn't care about the people watching, he took the angel by the arm, and snapped it like a twig behind his back. " You are done." He whispered as his hand turned into his dragon nails, and began pushing into his back, claws puncturing his spine, and then his lung, and finally piercing the heart, before letting it fall limp, and he.

He walked calmly away from the body, following the screams, to watch a scene play out, from the outer circle, this girl.. She was brave, stupid, but brave as she ran through the blades coming at her, taking not one, but both of the angel's blades, before ending them both. and then she ran, holding a satchel that he knew what it held, much like the bag on his waist held. Scales. As the girl disappeared into the crowd Drake spoke up, "Back Up!" He shouted and people began to do so. He wasn't ashamed of being seen, it would draw just the people he wanted out to him.

He leaned forward as his whole body began to shift, First he grew longer his bones growing, and cracking, and reforming it sounded painful, and the first several times it was. Drake's clothes faded, his body growing and turning a dark blackish purple, glimmering in the sunlight, as his scales fully formed, each over a foot in length, and six inches wide. He was huge. Almost one hundred feet long, easily twenty five feet wide, and his tail was another thirty feet long on top of his body's length. He picked up one corpse, and then the second in his maw. And then his wings, massive pushed against his back and he lifted up into the air.

Bodies around him got pushed back as he lifted up into the sky, and took off with the bodies. To deposit them somewhere else, dispose of her evidence. Keep it off her back, now all the people would remember was a giant dragon taking off with the corpses. He growled as the taste of foul blood rolled into his mouth from the angels' wounds, and the armor grinding against his massive teeth. He flew for what seemed like an hour, before the desert came into view. Which is where he opened his jaw and leaned forward, letting the first body drop. the second was caught by feathers in his teeth.

Fire flew from his mouth, a dark, black fire that burned the wings off the angel, and that body too fell out, both going into the desert as he turned his massive body around, and began sensing for the dragon he had smelled earlier. He was far off, and couldn't sense anything yet. Which was okay, another dragon? was he ready to converse with someone of his own breed after so long? He didn't even remember how to greet another dragon, having stayed with elves so long, he knew their greetings, perhaps that would do? He flew on faster, remembering that she was running outside of town, to his west, where was she going?

He flew until he seen the town, and dropped out of the sky, landing and he could feel each and every bone began to retract, as he had felt them growing. His bones shrank, talk fell into his back, wings shrank to nothing and disappeared into his back, as his body shrank back down to size. Hands and knees he stayed there a moment, panting as his clothes showed back up, and then the waist bag he held, he panted a bit, holding onto his composure before standing up, and growling lightly. he cracked his neck, and began walking, searching for the scent from earlier. And...blood. He sighed, and looked off into the distance. a forest, with hills within. She must be hiding out there.

He walked slowly at first, wondering just where she could have gotten off to in the hour he was gone, and then he saw the entrance to what looked like a cave. he walked in slowly, as not to scare her, though that was probably going to happen regardless. He held his hands out, to show the only weapon he had, was on his back, he even took it off and set it on the ground only carrying the bag on his waist now, as he looked at her. " shhh, shhh. You're injured, you shouldn't startle so much, you'll irritate the..." He looked as she covered the wounds in ice. A Ice dragon, interesting. He stopped a second, and did the traditional Elven greeting, and put two fingers to his forehead, and bowed low, never taking his eyes off her. " Forgive my rudeness."

He said as he looked at her, " My name is Senex Antiquest, better known as Drake, Might I approach, young one?" He asked as politely as he could. Holding his hands out, standing before her, as if he was on display for her to judge.

Naomi watched the mouth of the cave as the man appeared. Letting out a low growl in her defense. She would fight him if she needed, near death would not make her docile. That was when his weapon hit the floor and her eyes narrowed on the man. She was obviously confused. Her heart was racing and she was pale. Her face white from blood loss and her eyes showed the drowsiness that threatened to consume her. She watched him as he spoke, her chest heaving up and down as she struggled to keep air in her lungs. Naomi felt her blue eyes flutter closed against her will, yet her grip upon the satchel only tightened. Her eyes snapped open as he spoke again. Young one? her eyes suddenly had a spark in them. "Drake?" She struggled to speak but she finally gave in. A nervous look crossing her features. "Approach with caution." She warned him. Though it was no threat to the man before her.

She closed her eyes again as she had given some stranger the right to approach. Her fingers gripped the satchel and when her eyes opened she could smell him. "You are a dragon?" She let the words shake from her lips as a tremble consumed her. She again closed her eyes but this time in pain. The ice around her wounds cracking and falling off. She was growing weak, the wounds exposing themselves to him. she flinched at each breath she took. "You can call me Naomi for now." The girl spoke, as her breathing became practically non-
existent. Her eyes closed she let him do what he intended, but if he was to touch the bag, even just to move it out of the way he found a rather reluctant dragon. Her eyes snapping open as she snarled. Scales crawling up her pale neck, her eyes simmering as her pupils lengthened. "This is not yours." She grumbled out softly.

A coughing fit making her turn the opposite way before she sat back up, blood on the floor. They must have nicked something when they had pierced her. "They need to be returned. I will not give them to anyone." She muttered before her
consciousness began to fade. Her body swaying before she collapsed. She was out, her world black but one hand remained stubbornly attached to the satchel that held some scales he had been searching for.

"We can share stories after, Right now... I'm not sure how big you are, But you need to transform. You will not heal correctly like this little one. Your body is not strong enough to with hold the damage you've sustained in human form, And i am not a dragon that can heal. The best i can do is transfer energy. And its been far too long heal that way. He said backing up, trying to show he meant no harm. " Your best chance, is to rest in your true form,... Naomi." He said, it felt alien, obviously her human name, not her dragon name.

He sat down against the far wall. His weapon somewhere off to his right, obviously not on his mind, " I don't tell this to you, to scare you. I've seen too many of my kind die by angels. I don't want to see another...." He trailed off. he realized he could be scaring the little one. "It really is your best chance of survival." He said with a nod, lifting his jacket off, and showing his bare arm, which slowly started to change, showing his beautiful dark blackish purple scales for just a moment. ensuring her it was no trick about him being dragon. He slid the arm of his jacket back on, and looked at her, uncertain if she was actually going to follow through with it or not. Drake knew that he wouldn't be able to help the young one otherwise. She had to make this decision herself.

He sat there and stared at her, waiting to see which way she went with the decision. To trust that he wasn't there to hurt her, or take things from her, or to let herself die. That's the only two possible things Drake could see going through her mind right now. He really needed to eat soon though, he had transformed twice now, without eating, and it was a real power drain. He let out a grimace as his stomach reminded him of just what he was thinking. as he looked on at her, waiting for her to decide which it would be.

She had blacked out some of their conversation. Her body barely holding up as she opened her eyes. Everything was blurred, his voice sounding distant. When had she ended up on the ground, she turned her head towards Drake, his words mumbled but she could make out pieces. She felt fear make her chest clench her eyes squeezing shut as she tried not to let the anxiety get tge best of her. She had not shifted for years. Many years she had lived in fear of having her scales torn from her body, beautiful white scales covered in red always seemed to haunt her dreams. Yet here he was telling her it was the only way. She finally looked over just in time to watch him shed his jacket, pulling off the arm and revealing his arm. At first the action only confused her, yet when he shifted his arm she knew what he was, the color of his scales were just as beautiful, if not more so than her own. She blinked a bit before pushing off the ground. Naomi dragged herself outside and her bones began to crack. Her body twisting, stretching as her clothes and skin melted away and a sizzling frost seemed to engulf her. Inch by inch until she was much larger. She was not ad bulky as most dragons. No she was quite thin, however she was long her wings far more powerful than one could have imagined.

Her body curled and bent around the trees and yet her length was impressive considering her age, even if she was smaller. She snorted at him, still weak as her pearl white scales had a snowy look. The color would have been perfect for blending into the snow, her icy blue eyes now pitch black her nostrils flaring as her 70 foot frame curled around to face the man. Each spike upon her wing quivering as she laid down. Her body ached from the change and left her with a soft groan. She laid her head close to the entrance, black eyes peering along his body. She closed them and breathed out. I've dragons were reclusive, loners, none had been seen in many centuries. They preferred their solitude and to see one so far from the north would have baffled any hunter. She opened those black eyes gazing to the cave. Soon it began to snow, she snorted sand flicked her tail. Hearing the crash of trees she flinched. Her dragon form not something she ever changed into. She was lucky not to have knocked any down in her transformation. She let out a small chuff. Her small breaths causing s cold draft in the cave as she struggled to let her body heal. Discomfort twisted even upon her reptilian face. Her muzzle twitching to reveal her sharp teeth. If it was any other than a dragon her form would be rather intimidating. Soon she fell asleep, the healing taking most of her energy.

Hours passed, when she woke her black eyes darting astound until they landed on the other dragon. She let out a small hiss, out of redaction to her unknown surroundings, but she didn't move to much. Lifting her head she glanced around the forest to find her body undisturbed. She blinked, a bit surprised. Son she found herself shifting back, the cold missy surrounding her until she was back in her human form. Blue eyes darting to the man in front of her. "Who are you, Drake? And why would you help me? " her face was an open book, betraying every emotion. Confusion, mistrust, fear. That all took a turn crossing her face. Her eyes darting to the bag. "You know what the angels do? Then was this for the satchel?" She walked into the cave picking up the bag and opening it. Reaching in she pulled out a werewolf talon, vampire fangs, and then the scales. Three in total, two the beautiful black violet hued and then the other a brilliant ruby red. Reaching out she touched the red scale. "Have you ever watched it? What they do?" A twist of disgust crossed her face. The screams stick in ones mind more than the horror that you see. Her mind was filled with the horrors of watching her kind fall to angel. She despised angels, yet she was terrified of them. This dragon before her however. She lifted her eyes and gazed at him. "You may call me Frost." she muttered softly.

She was drifting in an out, he wasn't entirely sure she could hear him, until she stood up, and began to walk outside. evidently she didn't have enough room in the cave to transform, with as young as she was, that was slightly surprising to him. He watched as she left the cave, but didn't move. nothing was around them, and he could semi see her as she began to transform. She was sleek, and pure white, it was beautiful to watch, nearly his opposite in color, she was long and thin, her wings much much the same as they slowly melded from her back. He hadn't seen another dragon transform in so long, his eyes were in awe, up until she she pushed her snout into the cave, watching him like a hawk as the snow started to fall around her, as if cover to her body. He couldn't help but smile lightly as she closed her eyes, and began to sleep. Probably for the best. He just sat there, Keeping himself open for anything that may or may not approach them.

He looked at the satchel, knowing all to well what was in there. Scales. he wasn't touching them, the bag was too small for the scales that he was after. He would have to show her his own when she awoke. Was she snoring? It was cute, ice particles flying into the cave, his body began to emit heat, just so it wouldn't freeze to the wall, in case something came along. and he had to take action. She was sleeping so peacefully, he could feel the ground rumble with each breath, she was tired, but she listened. Why? Why did she listen to him, was it the scales that he showed her? Or a voice of reasoning inside her own mind. This made him ponder for a moment. He was a dragon, maybe that gained her trust of him. But most didn't care, Dragon's were wary even of their own races. Because of the fact that anyone could be greedy. He looked through his bag, counting to make sure he had the right number in his head.

"And that makes Fifteen. Half of them, I think." He said with a solemn voice. All these years, and he only gathered half of them. How long had it been? nearly two thousand years of searching, and only got half of his families scales back. He really hoped it wouldn't take another two thousand years to get the rest. He really didn't want to go to the plains to search. Maybe he could get Exion to go for him. At least he'd fit in among the angels.

He continued to watch her as she she slept, so peacefully. Was she dreaming at all? Or was she too tired, and just healing. He supposed it didn't really matter, what mattered was she took his advice, and was now healing while resting, instead of slowly dying. He nodded, and realized how much he hated angels, staring at her bag once more, He shook his head, and left it there, out of respect for his own kind. Dragon's were temperamental creatures. Well he was anyways. He was certain that she'd appreciate if he didn't touch what she fought claw and nail for. How bad were her injuries, he closed his eyes, and could feel the healing her body was undergoing. She would get there, and yes, she was snoring, ever lightly, her tail swishing back and forth through the snow, she was resting comfortably.

Her eyes shot open, and she hissed at him, he couldn't help but smile a bit. She was worried, and rightfully so, she had been injured the last she knew, now she had transformed and was out in the open. " Like yourself, I'm a dragon, that's hunted. I helped you.. because you were injured, by the same thieves that took something from me." He said simply, as she had transformed back, and walked in, and asked another question. He shook his head, " I know what's in there, the same thing i've been chasing of my own kind, for more years than you've lived, little one." He said patting his bag. with that, as she pulled her own things out. he shook his head, " Anything that sells, they steal. and..." He said as he opened his bag, and began setting the much larger blackish purple scales one by one on the ground. " I've got only half of them back." He said as he spread out the Fifteen scales of his race of dragons. " Half back, in years of searching, Centuries, of crawling the land to collect what's left of my race. So i can burying them with their bodies, putting them to rest."

He shook his head, " I helped you because you were in need. You needed guidance on what to do, or you would have died lil one. I've seen enough death of dragons to know that another should not... No. Can not die if i can help it." He said as he looked at her. " Obviously, i mean you no harm, and i can leave if you'd like, we have a common goal though, it would seem, though you seem to be better at hiding, than fighting them. It comes with age, and experience." He said after a moment. before adding. " I disposed of the bodies, leaving no evidence that you were here. " He said as he looked at his blade half the cavern away.

"Frost it is. If that's your preferred name. You can call me Drake, or Senex, but most call me Drake, easier to remember," He said as he looked at her, while putting his scales away once more. " I believe the pleasure is my own though." He said inclining his head once more. " And i thank you for taking my advice, its the only thing i knew to do. As you see, I don't hold healing magic. He said as he held out his hand, and black flames rolled across it, But not solid black, nearly see through. "What's your next move, At the very least, let me get you there safely, without the return of those three angels, I fear more will come for whatever it is they were after, and now the bag you hold as well."

Frost lifted her head at his mention of calling her little one again. She could feel the emotions build up. She didn't trust him, however his presence brought her security she couldn't deny. Those blue eyes searched over him a moment before she glanced back down. "Centuries?" She found herself a bit blown away by his age. Mellin and Mari were older but 700 years when they took her in, raising her for 70 years before being murdered. Frost picked up the red scale and ran her thumb gently over it. "I don't know how to fight. Water dragons, they are docile, social creatures, earth dragons strong and diplomatic. Now if you mix them you get two warm gentle creatures. Those were the dragons who raised me. They never taught me skills to protect myself. Only about what I was and how I was different. I have never had a reason to fight before that." She mumbled in a long winded explanation. She was quiet while he explained himself. "Senex...." She liked the sound of it. She pushed herself from the ground and walked over to him sitting down, those cold blue eyes gazing into his dark ones. "The angel you disposed of, his name was Azriel. Seller and messenger. He works under Samuel. And when I killed them it was because they were after me." She paused and stood moving back to her side on the cave rolling the red scale between her fingers. "Sam is a collector. Or that's what he calls himself. A collector of valuable objects. An angel who slaughters our kind. If you want to find the thieves, Sam will know them." She paused as hesitation began to consume her. A knot forming in her stomach as she tried to calm the fear she suddenly felt. "But how do you know you can face an angel? They kill our kind, have their ways to do so, how are you suppose to defend yourself? " the fear the laced every word made it hard for any beast to not hear it.

Shaking her head she ran a hand into her hair and frowned. Her fingers gripped the scale tightly. "An angel selling a Dragon that was alive and breathing. That was Sam's goal. To sell me, in my dragon form to any creature who was willing to pay. However I refused to change, and that caused problems. 50 years I fought him every step, and when I finally changed I destroyed the place we were and ran. Been running for 150 years now. I don't have anywhere that would be safe. I don't even know where I am from." She spoke out softly and then put the scale back in the bag. She hated it. This running, not having a home. She had no idea if somewhere out there if other ice dragons were around, or if they even existed anymore. Mellin had always told her that they would travel north for her, but they must not draw attention to themselves. He had said it so many times and yet they never headed north. Mari on the other hand was a bit more honest speaking about fearing something that was stalking them.

Frost was alone, watching them scream as their change was forced, the way Sam ripped the scales from their bodies, she remembered it all. She looked over to the dragon sitting across from her. "Why do you call me little one?" The question was an odd one, she didn't quite understand why she was asking it and yet it slipped from her lips. She touched her shoulder feeling the healed wound was still tender. She still didn't understand why this dragon had come to her aid so easily. She put the items back in the bag and wandered closer to him. "I have no where to go that might be considered safe. So I wonder, if you would allow me to help you?" She asked softly her blue eyes searching his as she wondered if he would allow her to.

She stared at the flames along his arm before her eyes drifted back to him. "I know angel's well enough, but I am still afraid of them." She admitted softly. Grabbing into the ends of her hair she began to play with it nervously. He was not as intimidating up closed and the closer she was the more comforted she seemed to be. "Also I would like to thank you. I don't usually sleep. Let alone sleep in my true form. It been a long time since I've had that luxury. I guess there is something about you." Her honesty was interesting to any who met her. She could lie but when she told the truth there was something extremely innocent about her. Soft peach skin that was on the pale side. Long black locks that hung down past her shoulders, but her eyes were a piercing blue that could catch anyone off guard. She looked around the cave and then pressed herself to her feet. "I will start a fire, maybe catch something while I am out. You are hungry, yes?" She certain;y was after transforming. She had found that if she ever struggled with her appetite that shifting had its way of curing her lack of hunger.

She turned and walked out of the cave as she realized there was snow on the ground. She furrowed her brows as she walked through it. Why is there snow? She wondered curiously, though she kept such things to herself as she walked through the woods collecting dry branches. Some dry grass and she happened to catch a few rabbits while she was out. Packing it all back was the easy part. Seeing as she was a Dragon, strength came a bit more naturally even if she had no clue it was abnormal for a woman to be carrying so much. Her eyes set forward her gut suddenly clenched. What if he was gone when she got back? Why did the idea of him leaving set such a nasty feeling in her gut. She came to the cave and dared not look up. She couldn't bring herself to see if he was there or not. Instead she worked on building the fire. Getting the small cracks going and building a spit over the top she worked on the rabbits.

She was focused on the task as she didn't want to face reality. If he had left that would leave her alone again and that lack of comfort was driving her wild. Never before had she felt so in need of another, but she needed him around, even if she couldn't trust him, even if he was dangerous, there was something. The instant he entered the cave she had felt her body relax, despite herself. The way he disarmed to comfort her, his words and the tone he had used, but what got her the most was the phrase she had heard from none but those of her kind. 'Little One.' The pet name was not common as most had no idea her age, most would have called her elder or old if that had known it, yet he hadn't called her anything but Little one. Mari use to call her little one, maybe it was a foolish reason to have listened to him, however it paid off. She finally looked up. Her bright blue eyes meeting dark ones and she felt her tenseness melt away.

Drake listened to her tale of this Sam. And he became very intrigued, But she was afraid, having been so young, with no field training what so ever, he couldn't blame her. He wondered if she spent so much time in human form, that she forgot she was a dragon sometimes. " I can show you later," He said nodding over to the sword that hadn't moved She went right on talking, she was as if she had a million things to say, but unknown to her to express them. "Collector... Is just a nice name for Scavenger." He offered, commenting on the angel. " A leech." He nodded, his eyes were narrowed, as if he was recalling exactly what he was. Fifty dragons slain. multiple scales missing from the larger ones.

Drake listened to her tale more, she was running, no combat training at all, which explained while she was foolish enough to run through the angels, but she did it, and survived. that counted for something. She was young, but strong willed, she had to be, running on her own for as long as she had. He was more than slightly impressed that she survived this long without any training for who she was. He nodded in his thoughts once, and continued to listen " I haven't ran across ice dragons in a long time, not to say they're not out there, but they keep to themselves, much like most dragons do... like my family of dragons did, before the dispelled me for being... Corrupted." he said, the first time he had admitted to another dragon, that he was much more than he looked, his mutation, would be the next question she asked of him, he was certain. The Jagon he held on his forehead, that blended unless he opened it.

He gave a small smile, " Your story only confirms it, But you're young Frost, Even for an elves standard, much less one of our own. I'm over two thousand and two hundred years old, lil one. You're much younger than I." He said with a nod, as if that was reassurance. and then went quiet again. Before speaking of going out, and getting food. His stomach rumbled, and he nodded, " Yes... I took both of the angels bodies, and flew for over a hundred miles, to drop them off in the desert, and then came back to find you. I saw your injuries, and knew without.. knowledge of what to do... you'd likely die, had you not transformed when you did." He said with a simple nod, and grumbled a bit. He was going to need something bigger than she was use to carrying, He knew that. Not long after she walked from the cave, he did the same himself, his bag on his hip, he reached down and picked up the blade, and set off in the opposite direction she did. She went through the snow. He smiled, and opened the third, all seeing eye on his head, and his body began to glow purple.

The Jagan was a mutation, most common in demons, but not unheard of in other creatures. It was a psychic length with everything, and nothing. It was a part of him, yet had its own mind at times. He opened it and his eyes went dark as he looked around, seeing the very life force of everything as he looked, Forty seven yards there was a rather large Fawn, and an even larger buck. That was his kill. He closed the jagan, and began walking toward the male, it was already injured, a broken leg. in all reality, he was putting it out of its misery, and feeding himself in the process.

He walked up slowly, down wind, and he drew his sword, and flicked it out in an arch, the fawn took off, but the buck, he was stuck where he was and Drake Capitalized on it. The blade lightly ablaze in the dark black flame as he cut the head off the buck, and got them some Veil. He nodded, noting how the fire cauterized the wound, as he picked up the buck by the waist, and through it over his shoulder, slowly carrying it back to the cave. It took a bit longer, since he wasn't rushing and hurting his catch anymore than he already had. When he finally arrived, she was already there, working on rabbits. Well, that was a comfort at least. Drake walked by her, and sat back down, pulling his sword out as he started to skin the buck. slowly but surely, working all the skin off the meat, almost too skillful to believe,

Within maybe ten minutes, he had the skin off, and the rest of the buck sitting inside it to keep it off the ground. " Figured we may need a bit more to eat, considering we've both transformed today." He said with a nod, and looked up at her with his dark gaze. He thought about her conversation earlier.

"Fear is not always a bad thing, it tells you when you're outmatched, and need to get out of the way." Drake said with a nod. He wasn't ready to put her in danger yet, he would think on letting her travel with him. At least for now, but she made a point to tell him that she knew where to find Sam. And that Sam would know about the rest of his scales. He was in a limbo of protect the dragon, or put her in danger. His travels were hardly ever safe. finally he decided, " We can travel together, I would like to meet this... Scavenger." He said as he put the sword away, " And i can show you all that you wish, as to why i'm so confident against the angels, after we eat." He said as he pulled the Veil closer to the flame, for when she was ready for it.

Drake wasn't sure what else to say at the time, so he went and sat back down against his wall. His mind wondering, could he get the rest of his scales so soon after searching for so long? Did Sam have them? That would be really easy to get the rest of them. "Thank you. Its been a long time since i haven't cooked my own caught food." He gave an inclination of his head, and a small, but warm smile.

Frost was a bit surprised when she spotted the rather large buck. Her own kills, nothing compared to the large thing he had just brought to the fire. Her mouth watered at the idea of fresh venison. A bit embarrassed of what she offered in comparison. When he pulled out the knife and began to cut away at the animal her eyes never left him. Instead she was stuck in awe of the movements and what he was doing. The way his hand moved effortlessly. He had so much skill, then again he would at his age. She was nothing compared to this dragon. He was great in every aspect he had shown and she was beginning to wonder what his dragon would look like. He was probably stunning in that form too. She finally dragged those blue eyes away and focused on the rabbit that sat above the fire she had created, though she hadn't expected such big pieces of meat so as the rabbit cooked she began to resort the wood so the fire would cook hot enough, yet slow so the meat did not burn.

Slowly pulling each rabbit off , she glanced up to the man who now spoke. He handed her a large chunk of meat and she took it, pondering the things that he was saying. What seemed to stick was the fact that he was allowing her to travel with him, on top of allowing her to learn. For Frost it was weird, being able to educate herself pin ways of dragons. So long she had been forced to be as human as possible. Avoiding detection, hiding from those who would harm her. It had been 150 years since her last change, so the concept that they would need more food didn't even register until he brought it in. She blinked as he thanked her for cooking and she shook her head. "You helped me, and you brought us a better dinner than I could have." She was honest with him as she gave him one of the warm rabbits. Taking her own and biting into it. When he sniled she instantly blushed. Those blue eyes fixated on him. Her lack of social skills pretty obvious. "N-no need to thaabk me for being kind." She muttered and took another bite.

He had caught her off guard with that smile, it held a warmth she'd never be able to describe. She turned the venison and sighed softly. "I understand that your clan was murdered by Angel's, and they tend to hunt us down, but..." She paused not wanting to sound as though she liked the feather demons. "Why are you so determined to save them?" She was almost wondering if he felt it was his duty. Frost was to much of a chicken. Being alone for so long really made someone anti social and could even play pretend.

The whole time he was working on skinning the creature, he could feel her eyes on him. Feel that she was following his every movement, almost as if in a trance by what he was doing. She was young, and rather adorable, She reminded him so much of his brother, it was unreal. So full of wonder, and naive to the world . If only he had been there with them when the angels came to attack, and steal the scales, maybe things would have been different. He looked up at her and gave her the smile, and she blushed. It was cute. Especially after how withdrawn she was being. His smile turned into a smirk as he sat back down against the wall. She slowly began to move the rabbit off the flame, and build the fire more. He could help her, but felt that she would probably like to do it herself, to show him she wasn't as helpless as he looked, and this he would grant her. Besides, cooking over his flames, would be different for her. They burned hotter, and faster than normal flames did.

He took his rabbit, and took his knife to the head, cutting it off, before he began to to eat a leg, and he nodded, " Delicious, you've done this once or twice." Drake chuckled lightly, " So, I believe you said you liked Senex? Do you even know what it means, or do you like it because its my Dragon name?" he asked as he continued to eat, making sure each bite was swallowed before talking. He was curious of her knowledge of ancient tongue, considering how old he was. the language was near dead, besides among the oldest dragons, and elves he had met over the years. No one knew his real name, or the the fact that it meant, Ancient One.

"As your guest, it was only polite to help you, I couldn't let another dragon die, not after what's happened to my family." He said after a moment, " And it takes a lot out of a dragon to transform to and from, especially in such a short time." Drake added in, "I figured it was the least i could do since i kind of forced it on you, by explaining it was the only way you could heal correctly." He wasn't sure why he was explaining himself, but felt that it put her at ease. "And you've allowed me to stay and explain myself, which is why i thank you. You're obviously skeptical of everything, rightfully so, but you allowed me stay. Its nice every once in a while, to have someone to talk to that isn't going to try and stab you in the back." He was very talkative for her, which was odd for him. Why? Was it because she was so young, or because she was inquisitive about what he was doing? He wasn't sure.

"Save what, dear? My scales? Or the lives of other dragons?" He said tilting his head. curious as she left the question opened, and decided it best to answer both. " I save the scales, so i can bury them where the bodies of my brethren and family perished, to put their souls. Their hearts of hearts at rest for good, nothing left tying them to this world." Drake paused and looked at her again, his eyes seeming to burn with a spirit that was full of fury, " And Dragons? Because this world is slowly losing the oldest creatures it has to offer, and why? Greed. Fear, Power. All reasons to change the shift on who's on top of the power struggle, and There shouldn't be a struggle. Just let us be as we wish to be, Secluded and together with our own kind....For those of us, who have a family to go home to." He said with a nod, " Which is why i'll help you find your race, where you'll be safe, hopefully." Drake said with another nod.

"If that's what you want, to be with your own race. I highly doubt you want to wander the world and save dragons, and those that can't help themselves with me." He laughed at the thought of dragging the young dragon with him, teaching her the ways of the blade, and to be more confident in her dragon form. And what things were, like his Jagan, his mutation that made him much stronger than he should be. "But company will be nice for awhile, and i'm interested in this... Sam Character, and what he may know."

When he complimented her rabbit, she nodded. "I had to learn or starve." against that honesty just shone right through. She took another bite and let him answer her questions. Though that smirk that he had after seeing her blush made the young dragon shift a bit. She wasn't use to company and she hadn't learned much about social interaction until she was left alone. She was terrible at it. She knew not to stare but she couldn't stop her eyes from drifting over to him. That curious look gazing over him. He was so mesmerizing to her and she couldn't explain why. Her eyes then looked over his sword and though she was listening to him she was very distracted. She took another bite bringing her eyes back to the venison that she reached over and rotated. His question about his name brought the redness to her cheeks once more as she avoided looking at him. "I don't know. I just like the sound of it better. It has a nicer sound to it." She muttered rather softly and took another bite to finish off the rabbit.

Her blue eyes lifted to connect with his as he spoke. She blinked a bit at him as he spoke of finding her kind. She found her brows furrowing as she wasn't sure how she liked the idea. She remembered nothing of her first 7 years. She didn't remember where she was before Mari found her in the brush crying. It was all just a fuzzy and she didn't know why. At the mention of Sam her demeanor changed. She flinched at the mention, her body language showing she shut down in that moment. She curled up into a ball staring at the Venison before she realized it was done. Pulling it off and getting a smaller piece she gave the larger one to him. "What happens if we don't find ice dragons. Can I stay with you?" The attachment she felt was ridiculously stupid. She didn't know this dragon, or why his people had cast him out. Yet here she was frightened at the idea of being left somewhere unfamiliar. She was so childish. She hated how childish she was acting.

Frost bit her bottom lip as she couldn't look at Drake. She only sat there with a confused scowl on her face staring at the venison before she finally took a bite. The meat tasted so much better than what she could have imagined. It had been so long and it took mere seconds for her to devour the piece. She then looked up at Drake. "If I take you to Sam. Swear to me that you won't leave me there." Her voice quivered as she remembered the 50 years that Sam had her captive and she shivered. She didn't ever want to be left there again.

"Well that's not entirely true." He said almost immediately, " But you were in hiding, so yes, you had to learn how to use the fire, you couldn't just go hunt, and eat, like we were intended to do." He said, referring to being in dragon form. " Your Transformation though? Is near flawless. Especially for not practicing much. It usually takes years to have someone transform both ways with clothing on. Yet you did it flawlessly," Drake said as a compliment that sounded more like a statement, than support. She watched him ever carefully, at first, then he noticed her eyes were on his sword. He forgot that he had picked it back up. He turned it to its side and pushed it away from him. " Security measures, which as of now, I do not need, I would hope." He said with a nod as he finished his own rabbit, watching her spin the venison over the flame, She wasn't going to let it burn, which was good, it was a good meat, and even better if cooked slower than he normally could cook it, out of hunger.

"Combined with my last name, It means Ancient Outsider." He said after a moment. " Alone it means Outsider. which is why i go by Drake. It just reminds me of why i was forced to leave my family. But i'll agree, it has a nice ring to it. If you wish to use it out of respect for Dragon Heritage, then feel free, Frost." Drake said to her, with a small inclination of his head. She spoke of staying with him, if not finding her family, and this touched him lightly, " I..." He started trying to find the right words, her whole demeanor changed while he spoke of Sam. She really didn't want to take him there. She was doing it because he saved her life. " I'm constantly moving, from one place to another, never out of harms way. I can not say that with how you've lived, you'll be use to doing what I do, Frost. But the choice will be yours. It would probably do us both good, to keep company. I've become cynical in my time alone." he said after a moment, " And this is the most conversation I've had that didn't involve scales, in years." He nodded to her again, and tried his best to sound comforting while talking.

So this Sam, as he already knew, was who, and what she feared most. That was good to know on his part, that meant that he could show her what he meant about protecting other dragons, when he cut him down. He would wait till she asked why he was named outsider, to show her the third eye. and even then he'd probably wait till after he ate to show her anything of the sorts, he did say he'd show her why he wasn't afraid of angels, not in fear for himself anyways. He would uproot a couple of trees, and possibly cave a wall in in the cavern, without moving. Maybe that would show her, if not, the purple flame that they eye brought would probably help.

"Sam? You think i'd leave you there, after the tale you told? He's going to die, either before, or after i get what i want from him. The information is important. He will die rather i get it or not." Drake growled about the thought of an angel trying to force a dragon to change, simply to sell it. That was even worse than killing the dragon for scales, it was even more degrading, like dragon's were property. He shook his head, " You'll have no more fear from him, unless he isn't there, then everything else will be laid waste, and i'll hunt him down till i get what i want." He said with a growl, you could hear the dragon's roar behind the anger in his voice. It was deep, old, powerful...Commanding. "Meet needs spun Frost," he said as he used his foot, to push the skin, wrapping the next hunk towards her. " You were so kind as to cook it, you can have the first bit." He said with a nod, his voice having calmed down.

He was now thinking to himself, would Sam really know anything? And even if he did, would he come off the information, without torture. Then he wondered if he really wanted him to? After her tale, and if he knew the answers to his question, the Angel deserved to go through some pain, to suffer, to bleed from the insides till he squealed like the pig he was, to give up to the pain and give Drake the information he wanted.

Frost furrowed her brows as he spoke about her transformation. "Clothes? That is suppose to be difficult?" The confusion that riddled her face spoke to how uneducated she was about her own kind. Her blue eye dropped away from his. His compliment throwing her through a loop as she didn't quite understand how it all worked. the young dragon was obviously not going to question him too much, but she was bothered at the fact that she could do something that was suppose to be difficult. She had only changed a few times in her years alive. Not even a handful of times, literally maybe 3 or 4 that she could remember. That however made her wonder how many times in the beginning of her life had she had to change then?

She was finding herself filled with more questions about herself than she was finding them fulfilled. One question was leading to multiple more to pop up within her mind. It was rude to ask so many questions even if he had offered to answer them. So she pushed them aside to open her mind to questions about him instead. "Sennex... So they called you old and an outsider from birth?" She let that sink in as she sat there. Her eyes finally lifting back up. "Why were you an outsider to your own? And if they so easily pushed you aside, then why do you show them such respect?" She was finding herself more and more confused by this old dragon and the way he seemed to look at life. That was when he brought up Sam.

Something about the way he spoke, the anger he felt toward the angel made Frost stare at him with wide eyes. She was young and it showed in her face as she tried to understand this dragon who sat before her. She flinched out of her trance as she heard his words about the meat. She blinked a couple times doing as she was told and keeping her eyes on it. She bit her bottom lip as he mind tried to put together what he had told her. She was so young compared to him that he made no sense to her. She put the new piece on after finishing the other one she felt satisfied.

That was when she moved. Shifting she crossed the cave and sat next to him, staring at the fire. "Tell me, Sennex. What is the purple glow that constantly surrounds you?" that was when she revealed something that most had no idea. She could see magic. The magic that one held, though she knew not what it did, she could see the colors, like auras that floated around someone. She had seen the purple glow from the beginning, but why say anything, it was possibly the thing that gave her comfort and she didn't understand why.

"Shifting anything that isn't your body, is usually difficult at first, it takes time, to master shifting your clothes with you, back and forth without tattering them. But you did it well, it surprised me." He said within a second's notice, before going back to listening. and that's when the question came, "Let me eat, and you have my word i'll show you why i am an outsider to dragons everywhere. and further explain why i was cast out, or given an ultimatum and chose to leave, would be more correct." Drake nodded as he answered. "Regardless of being cast out. My family was slaughtered in my absence. If i would have stayed closer, instead of of learning the way of the races,.. I could have possibly saved them, I feel responsible for their deaths." He said with a slight sigh. " Its my responsibility to put them to rest, as I could not protect them in life."

She seemed to go silent, which was probably for the best, after the exchange of information they had, He had just willing told her he was going to kill someone, that he didn't even know, because she told him about what he had done to her. Who would trust someone so quick to judge someone they've never met? That wasn't the best quality to have, almost as if he was uncaring towards other people. But a scavenger, wasn't a person in his eyes. They were bugs, leeches, parasites, that love to make anything from the pain of others.

She came over to him, and sat down, asking about his glow, and he realized she had been able to see it, Which meant when he was ready to explain it, he wouldn't have to explain everything, " Outsider." He said simply, and stood up, moving over to flip the meat slowly, " I'll explain after I eat. but i'm half starved, and this smells delicious." He said with a smile, as he turned it, and came back to sit. One more turn, here in five minutes or so. "Hope you can handle the wait." He said as he looked at her once more.

She was curious by nature, and rightfully so if she could see the purple magic about him. He hadn't known many who could, even even fewer that understood it was a mutation, and one that ultimately made him even more useful than a normal dragon already was. He could do so much with it. Lifting things with his mind, adding to his own strength, sensing things long before the reached him. The the fact that she could see it, only gave him more hope and fear. Would she understand at her young age, or fear it like most others did. A Dragon shouldn't be as strong as he was, as young as he was for their old blood. Most dragons that survived, outlived almost every other race, and grew large as mountains,

He stood up and walked over to the fire, turning the meat again, Four or five more minutes, and he'd be ready to eat. He turned, " I appreciate you waiting patiently to find out, I haven't ate in three days, and it seems like now is as good as a time as any." Drake said to her, while walking back over to take his spot. She seemed to warm up to him quickly enough, which amused him, she felt at home with her own, Dragons, which could be bad or good, depending on if it was just him. He wasn't a threat to dragons that didn't try to take what was his, or tried to start a fight with him for territory that he was just walking through. he picked up the skin, and wrapped the meat in it, before bringing it back and picking up the knife, cutting into the meat bit by bit, into a strip, and then eat what he cut, only to repeat with the next piece. " Delicious. Thank you again for cooking." he said with a nod, even having turned it himself, it was her slow cooking flame that brought out the taste.

It didn't take him too long to consume the meet, he was starving, he nodded, almost belching before turning it into clearing his throat, Five minutes, let it settle, and if you wish to know anything, I'll show you, Just ask. afterwords." He said as his food settled slowly, but oh so satisfyingly. " Mkay, now..." He said as he picked up the sword, and placed it on his back, The first thing he did, was reach over, and the flames of the fire, instantly turned black, he took a few more steps away as he turned and looked at her, his eyes closed, before a similar sized, slightly bigger on his head, began to glow into sight, it was glowing purple. "Outsider. All races can be born with one, Its called a Jagan, the all seeing eye," He said staring at her, " Your color is blue, if you've never seen it. his whole body engulfed in the purple energy now that eye was opened, and as he opened his other two eyes, his body erupted in flames, black and purple. He held his hand out and pointed outside the cave, and she could hear trees being pulled from the ground.

"It increases my power, speed, abilities, and senses ten fold, even when closed. This is why the name Senex was given to me, I couldn't turn it off as a child, it was always open. I had to learn to control my energy." He said as he pointed to the back of the cave and a small hole blasted into the wall. " So they told me, either I go, or my family will join me, and My little brother had just been born." he nodded as he picked the sword off his back, unsheathing it, and the purple flames erupted up the blade, " he then let go of the sword, and it floated there, for a moment before he touched it again and flames went away, before he sheathed it again, " and possibly the most useful. Do not be alarmed. "

His mouth closed, but she could hear his voice. I can dig information from people i feel are lying to me, when i deem it necessary, but i don't like digging around in people's heads, thoughts are private. " Is the fact that i can talk to you without anyone hearing it but you."

Frost brought her knees to her chest, her arms wrapping around her legs as she watched him. He seemed content to move the meat himself as he seemed willing to explain himself. Her own mind clouded when it came to how she could transform with ease. Blue eyes followed his ever movement as he came back to her side. He was willing to tell her what she wanted to know. What did she want to know? He probably knew nothing of her family but he knew of dragons. Her bottom lip was now rolled between her pearly white teeth. What would she start with first? That was when he spoke of showing her.

Blue eyes followed the dragon as he picked up the sword. Never leaving him as he began his show. That's all she could think of as he set the fire to black flames. Her eyes widening as she blinked at the sight. How could he do such things? When the large third eye opened she felt her breath leave her lungs and she was left looking at him in awe. Whatever it was, it was beautiful and she could feel the power as it fell from it. His power as immense. She sat quietly as her eyes gave away her fascination. On top of everything, how was he so special. A Jagan?

As he revealed himself, her eyes were now focused on the fact of how much of him was glowing. He looked angelic to her in his purple glow. There it was again, that odd comfort that she found herself feeling. That was when he began to show her thing, but rather than freak out like some would her eyes were focused on him. She tilted her head and smiled at him in awe. She was beyond the point of just curious. She wanted to touch it. Why was she suddenly overwhelmed by such a feeling? She kept herself seated but as his demonstration ended his voice was suddenly within her mind.

Blue eyes grew big as she looked at his lips not moving. She pushed herself to her feet and wandered over to the handsome dragon male. Reaching to his third eyes her hand covered it. "That will be a handy thing when dealing with Sam. They are cruel." She was approaching him now. Her eyes focused on him and her hand came up. However the weird part would be when her eyes turned black and her fingers caressed the purple energy that came from him. Odd to feel, yet her touch was cool and soothing. Frost didn't even seem to know what she was doing until her hand yanked back and she blinked, blue eyes coming back and a shocked looked in her eyes. Her face twisted in horror. "I'm so sorry. I don't know what I just." Those blue eyes suddenly got wide as she was reminded of just how much she didn't know about herself. Something that absolutely terrified her.

She took a step back looked away embarrassed. "Can you go into memories that I can't even remember?" She asked suddenly. Bringing those bright eyes to look at him again. "Can you look into memories that I have chosen to lock away. Memories I cannot remember?" Her voice was a whisper as she stood before him searching his eyes as she asked something she never though of asking anyone.

The whole time he worked, he could feel her eyes on him, like a study, just watching, waiting for her chance to say something, he knew it by the tone in her eyes. she was awestruck by his show of ability, and not scared, or worried, which was something that intrigued him. Was she just curious, or too young to understand that he was something that should exist, he was an abomination among their kind. Drake wasn't sure which it was, or if he wanted to find out.

When his voice rang in her head, not only did she not freak out, she was excited. This worried him slightly, as she walked up, she covered the Jagan slowly, he could feel her energy wrapping around it, and him. Which was weird, but not as weird as her eyes turning as black as his were. That messed with him a little bit, just what was this little one doing? "Easy little one." He spoke as she took her hand from him, " You've done nothing wrong, but i'm not sure what you did. You were.. absorbing my aura i believe, becoming more in tune with me, in a matter of speaking." saying this he adjusted the sword on his back, feeling okay with holding it on his person now that she seen him use it.

He listened to her words and shook his head, "It can be painful, and i don't like delving in the minds of others unless it seems like the lesser of two evils." he said with a simple nod, it was true, he didn't like seeping into the subconscious of other creatures if he could help it. The mind was a terrible place to invade, no secrets once you broke through the door, and you find things out not only that you want to know, but things that are locked away for good reason. He knew it to be true, but he figured through her kindness, if it was something she really wanted to do, then he would oblige her. " You must remember it is like a floodgate. If i open it, you will get not only what you seek, but things you locked away so you didn't have to face them anymore, repressed memories of times you couldn't handle. Like things you locked away while you were held captive. You'll remember everything. So... think hard before you answer if you want to know. I can't pick and choose for you, what you remember. its all or nothing." he spoke as he offered her what she asked for.

He felt bad for her, to know that she had things locked away, so that she didn't have to deal with them, what exactly was she in search of? Was it worth the pain that he could cause her, was it really that important to her to know what she forgot? These were all things he pondered as she stood there, whispering to him as if a child. and compared to him, she still was a child, though some dragons, like his brother, die before her age. This was truly a sad though, his eyes looked down for a moment, awaiting her answer, while pondering just what would have happened, had he been on or near the mountain when it began to be a war zone that his kind lost. Would they have had a chance? He wasn't much older than she was now, when it happened. Regardless, past was just that, the past. He looked up and studied her blue eyes for her answer as he did. his Jagan closing finally, and his aura died down a bit.

Heart pounding against her ribs as she blinked, staring at him as he calmed her down. She glanced into those dark eyes as his voice calmed her. However as he responded to her asking about her memories she furrowed her brows. She wasn't quite sure she wanted to remember what happen with Sam, she was scared of him for a reason. She dropped her eyes to the ground and wrinkled her nose. "Maybe not right now or I won't want to help." She muttered softly. Her eyes turned to the mouth of the cave as the sky began to darken. She wrapped her arms around herself and then looked to the Dragon again. "Can I ask again later?" She muttered through curious eyes. Eventually she would need to know, to open the wall she had built. Eventually it would need to come crashing down.

She looked at his now closed eye, yet she could see the faint glow that came from it. "The Jagan, it isn't normal. That's why they told you to leave, isn't it?" She sat next to the fire that still burnt with the black flames. At least they would be warm with his fire. and though it burnt it did not light things like a normal fire would. It was rather eerie. "You are more special then they could have ever realized. You didn't fail them, Sennex. They failed themselves." She muttered soon sitting by the fire, staring into the odd flames. "You would only had failed them if they had died while you were there. You weren't, though they are lucky to have someone so kind as to put them to rest." She muttered softly. before her blue eyes rose up to his now darkened face.

"Tell me what they taught you as a young dragon? What did they teach you about yourself. I only ever knew I was an ice dragon and that transforming was forbidden. I knew that dragons were hunted creatures, that we were special. But no one will tell me about before the hunting. When dragons ruled the skies. No stories of great fights." She flopped back and looked to the roof of the cave and closed her eyes. "How many races are there? What does each race do? What are your powers?" She lifted her hand up in front of her now opening eyes. "I don't even know what I can do and I am pure, what can a cross bred dragon do?" her breath came out heavily. "I am sorry, I should ask one question at a time..." she pulled her hand back to her chest and closed her eyes again.

"Your decision, I told you that. I won't force myself in your head, unless i have to, to communicate with you, if you're in a dark space and can't get yourself out of it. not until you ask me to with earnest. Of this you have my word." Drake spoke with a small inclination of his head, but she asked her next question, about his Jagan. "No, its not, its considered a mutation, almost like a parasite to the body, that attaches at birth, and rides along for life. Though I don't know of a parasite that's more helpful than harmful. It has saved my life more than once." He spoke to her with honesty. "I'm sure it will do so again, because i have no plan on dying any time soon. And that''s the truth." He said as she continued to try to comfort him. "But i should have been there, and i wasn't. I was off learning what no one would teach me."

With that he paused, "The only one who told me anything was my mother, she said i wasn't an outsider, but i was gifted with something that no one understood, which is why they feared me." He said with a simple nod, and looked up at her, "I wasn't there, so i failed them. I should have been there, to protect my brother at the very least, the rest too, but my brother, he was the one that had no chance, he was so young." He paused and listened to her first question, "The eldest dragon was the story teller, and i wasn't allowed to listen, and learn, he didn't want to see me." Drake said after a moment. "I was a disrespect to our race, and did not deserve to be in his presence. Because i had yet to learn to shut the Jagan. "How many elements are there? how many deviations of elements are there? Just think about it. a dragon for every element you've ever come across. Water, snow, ice, fire, dark fire, shadow fire, holy, which is more commonly known as Celestial Dragons. They reside in the angelic world, they're pure gold, and massive. But the list goes on and on." He paused and looked at her, before nodding.

"I am what is called, a shadow-fire dragon. It means my flame burns hot, and isn't like any other, its partially shadows. you can't put it out by regular means, you have to be able to control shadows, and be stronger than me, to stop my fire. Which has been very useful against the angels." Drake nodded as he looked at her, and motioned her over and out of the cave, before he gave a large groan and leaned forward, thinking he had had enough food to show her real quick. He began transforming immediately, no shame in it. His body elongated, and he could feel every bone popping at once as he grew, his deep dark blackish purple scales showing brilliantly in the moonlight as he grew to nearly one hundred feet, before his tail kept going, another thirty or so. he was nearly twenty feet wide, and one hundred and thirty feet from snout to tail tip, he looked up at her, his eyes going from black to a sheen of purple over them, He just laid there a moment, his shot breath shooting steam from his nostrils, Well? What do you think? You may touch.

Halfbreeds take the best traits from both parents, and utilize them sometimes even make a new element. like sandstorm dragons are wind and earth dragon offspring, they're amazing to watch, as they have the ability to mask themselves in sand, as you could in snow with enough practice. okay, coming bacccck..

He closed his eyes as he began to shift back, slowly even she could hear his bones shifting shrinking, cracking and reforming as he shrank ever quickly compared to growing, and he sat there a moment, looking at the ground before standing up, "That is not easy to do so soon after transforming, he stood up and blinked, I wouldn't recommend quick shifts."

Frost opened her eyes and slowly pushed herself up from the ground. Her blue eyes watching him as he began to walk away. It took her a moment before sitting up and pushing herself to her feet. Walking to the edge where the cracking of his bones brought her eyes to grow wide. He was changing, but why? She didn't understand what he was trying to do by changing. The large beast that now stood before her was spectacular. He stood so tall, his body was huge and yet she wasn't intimidated by him. He was dangerous in every aspect of the word and now knowing about his Jagan, she should have been terrified of him. Instead she made her way to him as he offered to let her touch. Her hand reached up and she ran her fingers over each hard scale.

Frost reached out her hand over his scale. Rubbing over him until he told her he was shifting again. She backed away from him he eyes focused on him as she shifted back down. She smiled awkwardly. "I don't shift. I've always lived in fear of it." She paused and turned walking back into the cave. Sitting on the ground looking into the shadow flames. The warmth was nice but something about the dragon outside made her feel safe. Was she safe? Why did she feel safe? She fell back onto the ground and closed her eyes. She was not sure what else to ask. He learned it all by himself. She could do the same couldn't she?

Her mind wandered as she laid on the hard ground. Her eyes closed but the image in her head was him. The way each crack of his bones pushed him to become something beautiful. The hue of his dark scales, those piercing eyes and even more so was the deep voice that rumbled from him. He was spectacular in everyway and in a sense it made her jealous. He had lived so long and seemed to have no fears. She furrowed her brows togethwr at the thought. No fear. If only she could have no fear of Sam, of the angels. She had to face them again and the idea was terrifying.
