    Name: Solomon Grimm
Alias: The Witch Hunter, Bane of the Night
    Age: 43
Personality: Solomon Grimm believes the world has fallen. Corrupt with Evil, and that it is his purpose to cleanse it. At least he did. At the height of his career as a mercenary, he was known for his brutality, but he has since renounced violence. Only reluctantly returning again to it, after the death of his wife.
Background: Solomon Grimm was a knave in his younger years. Skilled with blade and gun. He dabbled in piracy, as well as being a mercenary. However, after an incident where he was betrayed by the people paying him to burn down a village, he was forced into hiding. Lived in an abbey for a while. Learning to renounce violence and live a holy life.
After he left the abbey, he moved to a small village, where he met a woman that would become his wife. He lived a good life.
Until a band of bandits game through the town, and killed his wife. From then on, he swore a vow of vengeance. To rid the world of all evil.
    Equipment:
    • A copy of the Malleus Maleficarum (the Hammer of Witches), a tome with information about witches, monsters, and their powers, plus proper conduct for tests and trials.
    • A heavy crossbow, for felling the greater beasts.
    • A solid silver holy symbol that is both large and heavy enough to serve as a club when necessary.
    • A hex-proof leather shoulder bag for items and evidence that must be protected from evil magic.
    • A long, strong, and sharp steel blade blessed by a cleric of the faith.
    • A half-dozen stout oaken stakes, blessed by a cleric, about 18" in length and an iron hand maul.
    • A flintlock, alchemical powder pistol for dealing with mortal henchman and knaves.
    • A silver flask filled with the purest of holy waters from the mountain sanctums of Order of Truth.
    • Three small clay jars filled with blessed oil, sealed with wax, and prepared with wicks.
    • An oil-soaked torch, carved with holy script, that is easily lit by means of the flintlock pistol.
    • Silver-tipped ammunition, for both his crossbow and flintlock
    • A cold-forged iron short sword for making quick work out of dark fey creatures.
    • Three pounds of pure rock salt certified from the salt mines of Kilroot on the Blessed Isle.
    • Steel-reinforced leather gauntlets made and blessed by the monks at the Abbey of St Maurl.
    • A heavy, black, leather, duster-style coat with numerous pockets both inside and out.
    • Fifty feet of 4 stranded, shroud-laid, hempen fiber rope always with a right-hand twist. A sinister-twist rope can be used against you by the magic of your great adversary.
    Religion: Vuteus, God Of Justice
Abilities: Swordsmanship and Marksmanship - used to be the best, but it has gone unused for many years. Is starting to get it back.

Okay, I like it. Firstly before I can actually accept you, go a little in depth with his personality. Try for weaknesses and strengths, his likes and dislikes? I'd keep what you've got already, but alter it or add to it.

Secondly, kinda limit the equipment he has. Your character will be gaining as he progresses. You have 16 items including appearel, limit it down to either 10 or 8.

Once done let me know and you can proceed to Role-playing :)

I don’t want to step on any toes, but that is quite frankly the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.
So, why would he not have equipment from his long career? He was a merc, a holy man and a witch hunter.
He may not have fought for a while, but he definitely would have kept his gear.
Plus given, he doesn’t have any magic as of yet, isn’t it reasonable to say he would have more equipment to equalise the difference between him, and everyone else, who possess magic?

Sorry about that just going a little over my head here. But yes, that would make sense. Well then that part is retracted then!

I'm definitely hearing this second sage speak in a Chancellor Palpatine voice. Is that just me?

Also, I'm having some trouble interpreting this. He seems to be a person of some prominence, but there's no mention of which king/kingdom he served. What would our characters (or the general populace) know about this second sage?

Those of Millwood would know the 2nd Sage as a sort of advisor, protector, and high spriest of the King (or the 1st Sage.), However what's odd is he isn't known amongst the general public, regardless of nation, and is it known amongst the high priests/knights of Millwood as "a shadow." So characters not of any high rank within Millwood wouldn't know Jack squat of this guy and neither outsiders.

But other than that everything is revealed in RP. That's as much info of him I'll give you.

    Name: Zurathyln Corvius
Alias: Once the right hand of the 5th king, Zurathyln left and became the right arm of Millwood's Head Sage. He was simply known as the "Sand Strider"
    Age: 237
    Race: Woodland Giant

Personality: Zurathyln is more quiet than he is arguable. He prefers his own solitude but will work with others to get a job done, but even then he still keeps his head low and to himself. He doesn't go out of his way for a lot of people and it takes a considerable amount of work for him to even risk his life for someone else's. Trust isn't easily gained to this man as he trusts no one, not even a friendly cleric nor his own kind. Who can he really trust for only he knows the truth behinds Millwood's demise and the great betrayal of a once great knight. Who can he really trust when his living gods of nature were burnt by the same flame he cherished. For now he is civil and will sometimes take charge in dire need.

Background: Corvius Zurathyln was born in the kingdom of Heide, the 5th World Kingdom. He was born as a lowly peasant with no real family save for his Aunt and Uncle who ran a bakery and attached to it a local apothecary, but because better competition had grown more the small shop was barely noticeable by the common folk however was far more affordable and provided better care for the low income and poor. Because of this the shop was recognizable and held a high reputation in the slums. Corvius grew up with many friends and was a child with a golden heart, always helping his friends out even when they're in trouble from the law and enemies, that never stopped him from stealing stuff every now and then. There was one oddity though, he was always stronger and more durable than the rest of the friends but never questioned it.

When he turn 13, his friends talked him into stealing a journal from a guard, but when he returned with it he didn't realize what it was till later. Corvius had stolen a training guide for foot soldiers and knights. He and his friends began to use it for fun, like playing with sticks and pretend. But the more they played the more they wanted an actual fight like soldiers did, so they made it a goal to train hard to one day become actual soldiers and knights in the Heide Armada. Few years passed and once the boys reached the ages of 16 and 17 they joined the army, Corvius promising his aunt and uncle that he would return with enough riches to help the slums and the shop.

The boys had grown to men within the army, however before their departure to the undiscovered lands of Millwood and Carthus they were allowed to revisited their families and friends for a full weekend. Corvius visited the shop, happy to see his folks were alive, well, and making the slums a better place. It wasn't until Corvius left that he felt dread and fear for his people and those of the slums.

Corvius served the army for ten years, traveling to Carthus for reinforcing an alliance and troops who were previously sent to border outposts. Once arrived however war had already broken out, Heide and Carthus forces clashing with one another in one of histories bloodiest battles, Zurathyln and his comrades were thrown into the mix. The event known as the "Battle of Grimm Dunes" was large enough that it had crippled most of the high kingdoms, oddly save for Heide whose forces were on the front line. Oddly enough, the other 8 kingdoms had lost most of their armies whilst the 2nd lost only a hundred out of five thousand. Zurathyln and co. had fought their way through the ranks, taking their first lives, suffering from a mix of rage and sorrow. On the tenth day the Heide forces won that battle and made a truce with Carthus; be part of the 2nd kingdom and Carthus receives benefits for profits, army, agriculture, politics, and it's people.

The group would serve the Heide army for 20 years. They did many things from securing raider camps to infiltrating enemy forts in Carthus. Just this squad of friends were eventually dubbed the "Satardir Alramal," or Sand Striders in the common tongue. With how much they accomplished and how recognized they were, the group were given rank of Royal Knights and Royal Swordsmen, to protect the lords of both Heide and Carthus. The group unfortunately split in two; six, inuding Corvius, going to their home kingdom while the other five would remain protecting the Carthus High Lord.

This would begin and last for another 20 years, the whole group had grown between 56 and 60
retiring at their age. One stood out, the tallest and strongest, Corvius Zurathyln had not aged past his twenties seemingly. It was an odd question why he wasn't aging like a normal human until a cartographer discovered he was a giant. However he wasn't part of a normal giant race, Woodland Giants were taller than man, reaching to about 10 and 12 feet in height, but something happened to Corvius for his growth to be stunted keeping him at 8'11". He was to live a longer life than any human, so he was offered either to serve or retire, and he decided to serve out his life for his kingdom.

Corvius had brought a great deal of wealth to not only his folks who'd grown old, but to the slums as well, helping clean up and rebuild the aged houses and shops. This took time but he was well respected, finding jobs for the poor and helping the elderly. This all came to an end when he was called back to the castle.

The 2nd king, Treighton Heide, had summoned Corvius to the throne room alone where he would offer knighthood to the Royal Soldier. Corvius accepted it, knowing it was a rank he had hoped for since childhood. As a knight, Corvius had done more than simply fought against enemy forces, he disrupted many cults, ceased many lords, put down assassins and spies alike, and he even toppled a powerful lich. For 50 years, reaching the age of 107, Corvius Zurathyln, or the Sand Strider, served the Royal Family until their the twentieth heir, Osiris Heide, had retired the knight. From there, the retired knight who was still in his youth wanted to see more of the world and was allowed to carry his old rank so if he ran into an allied nation he could help them if needed.

On his travels, Corvius had aided many people from the common folk, peasants, and the shop keepers to other knights and soldiers. The Sand Strider became well known in other countries. Eventually it led him to an unknown land of fire and earth known as Millwood. There he discovered other religions such as Earth worship of Gaia and Titan, the Mother and Father of the Earth. He learned this from a nomadic warrior name Pharros, who he battled alongside with years ago and discovered the warrior was a Woodland Giant as well. Pharros introduced Corvius to his tribes people who welcomed him as a pilgrim of sorts. He was the first contact with the people in several hundred years.

Corvius remained on the island with Pharros and he found a nostalgic peace never felt before. He questioned this feeling and was answered by the head sage of Millwood, Nauxis. This feeling was an inner flame that had found its bonfire, a comfortable place for oneself as he, he learned as much as he could and within years took the trials of Druidry and Pyromancy. Corvius remained in Millwood, leaving behind his old nation and religion for this peaceful life. In his 50 years he became a trusted knight of the Elder Hierarchy of Millwood and moved through it's ranks until the age of 216. He became a great and trusted friend to the Sages, familiarizing himself with the first, second, and eleventh Sages.

It wasn't until he had a family, a beautiful woman and several children was he thrown back into war, a skirmish sparked between Millwood and Ulsric. As the Battle was settled a massive force had hit the opposite borders, forces to fight across the region, but the Millwood knights and warriors kept the Ulsric forces at bay with relative ease. Once diverse mercenaries were involved it began to make the war difficult, but instead of joining his fellow comrades in the fray Zurathyln Corvius was called to the throne at once. He did but only saw flames of black, and in its center were three figures, each one with a different hue of color, and he could feel the malevolent nature in them. It was then he was blasted out the Elder Tree throne room, knocking him out for several days. Fires spread killing any and all engulfed in them, except for Corvius, who made it back to the ruined home that houses his family. His wife and children were but ashes, the forces of Millwood fled with no choice and the region became only ashes.

Zurathyln, without a broken honor intact and a sense of great loss, he fled to Carim where he could be alone, and await the day he can return to his broken home.

Religion: Earth Worship, Gaia and Titan, Mother and Father of the Earth. He also once worshiped the gods of the flame but first God, then later abandoned the two religions for he found living proof of gods who can provide true miracles.

    Abilities:
Dark Walker- an ability all Millwood knights pisses, allows one to resist the dark powers of blood magic, Hexing, witchcraft, Abyssal, and cursing. While not fully protected, they aren't affect by 60% of the power.

Druidry- Part of the religion, Druidry allows one to create bindings of natural energy from wards to healing methods. They can speak with Earthly elementals, golems, and magical creatures of nature. Zurathyln has been out of touch with this practice long enough to be a novice.

Alright, @Emma_Zail, @Rexblades, @Sanity43217, and @Deigoth Nightstalker. Because I messed up, I redid the rp in a new thread. I'm shooting for something of a slower pace and would last for a good while, but want to keep all of you at interest. You can copy and paste your replies or create new ones, the only thing I ask is you remove the letters delivered. There is a different plan I'm sticking with.

If you have lost interest, or wish to quit/opt out, you can. There won't be any hard feelings at all and I'd completely understand if you'd not play anymore. I know I've been kind of chaotic and I apologise for that, it's not fair to you lot. If you're still interested in the RP, do post. If you have questions DM me. See you then.
